At One Woman and a Broken Pencil, we believe in the transformative power of collective narratives and the indomitable spirit of every woman and girl. Our mission goes beyond encouragement—it's about empowerment, mentorship, and fostering a community where stories become the catalyst for change. By guiding aspiring women and girls to lay the foundation for their own nonprofits or businesses, we aim to nurture a new generation of female leaders. Simultaneously, by providing a safe space for women in crisis to share and listen to each other's journeys, we seek to kindle hope, resilience, and solidarity.
Our Chili for the Chilly program feeds the homeless during the harsh winter months, offering warm meals and essential supplies like hats, gloves, and blankets to those in need. We also support youth development through our STEAM Ahead with OWBP program, an out-of-school initiative that engages young minds in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, inspiring the next generation of innovators.
Every story told, every business birthed, and every nonprofit founded becomes a testament to the strength and potential of women. We are here to remind every woman that amidst challenges, she can rewrite her narrative, refine her purpose, and emerge as the best version of herself.
